Woodlawn Park North Cemetery and Crematory
Woodlawn Park Cemetery was established in 1913 by three pioneers in Miami’s early history (Thomas O. Wilson, William N. Urmey and Clifton D. Benson). They imported rare tropical trees and shrubs to this country for the cemetery, including the first schefflera (umbrella) and mahogany trees. Today, Woodlawn Park North Cemetery is among the nation most beautiful cemeteries. Located within the city of Miami, and just minutes away from Coral Gables it has become the cemetery of choice for many of Miami’s pioneers, and well known families from Miami and abroad. When you drive into park you enter a garden where lives are commemorated, deaths are recorded and families are reunited. Woodlawn Park Cemetery is an official Bird Sanctuary. You will see many trees and plants that house many different species of birds throughout the gardens.

The new cemetery provided future generations with 58 acres of ground burial sites in carefully manicured gardens. Today, Woodlawn Park Cemeteries are among the nation most beautiful cemeteries. Palms Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery
Palms Woodlawn Cemetery is one of the oldest in Dade County, having been established in 1912. The cemetery was called Naranja Cemetery and then it became known as the South Dade Palms Memorial Park. We acquired the cemetery in 1995 and changed the name to Palms Woodlawn Cemetery.
The cemetery provides 51 acres of lush ground burial sites. Today, Palms Woodlawn Cemetery is among the nation’s most beautiful cemeteries. Palms Woodlawn has been the premier choice for area families for years.
In 1997, a new state of the art funeral home was built on the grounds of the cemetery. Caballero Rivero Woodlawn Funeral Home - Hialeah
The Caballero and Rivero families opened its first funeral home in Havana, Cuba in 1800s. The Caballero and Rivero families’ tradition continued when they moved to the United States in the 1960s and opened the Funeral Homes in Miami.
In 1990s, the two Families, Caballero and Rivero joined Woodlawn Park Cemeteries and Funeral Home. Combining the excellent Caballero, Rivero funeral services with Woodlawn Park's outstanding funeral home and cemeteries offers the entire Miami-Dade area unprecedented opportunities in service, convenience and economy.
The Caballero Rivero Hialeah funeral home located in the heart of Hialeah has been serving the residents of the beautiful city of Hialeah since the early 1970s, and services all cemeteries.
In the fall of 2011 we will be opening our doors to a brand new state of the art funeral home built on the same site where we have been for over 40 years.
In keeping we our tradition, the funeral home offers spacious private chapels and a parking lot that can accommodate over 100 cars. All chapels have wall-mounted television screens for presenting video tributes to loved ones during services.
